Discover Your Forest | 2014 Deschutes National Forest Lecture Series

The Deschutes National Forest invites the public to the Newberry National Volcanic Monument for a series of lectures on Friday and Saturday nights through the 2104 summer season.

On Friday, July 11th, between the hours of 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Bob Grossfield, manager of the Oregon Observatory, will bring their telescopes for night sky viewing. On Saturday, July 12th, between the hours of 7;00 pm to 8:00 pm, Forest Ranger, Travis Moyer, will discuss the history of the US Forest Service and Wildfires in Central Oregon.
